WORKSHOP
"TELEPORT TO AUGMENTED REALITY"
The workshop offers the public to experiment with all the steps of creating a choreographic scene in augmented reality:
• a dance is created to be filmed;
• the body is automatically cut through thanks to the AI integrated into Revy;
• we place the holographic character in the real space;
• we will dance, or play, with this character: the real person enters into a relationship with the virtual person.
• this real/virtual duo is filmed and everyone can leave with their film.
This workshop was designed by Natacha Paquignon, choreographer & Maxime Touroute, visual arts engineer. It is based on the Revy application which allows you to simply create a character in augmented reality, place it in real space, and re-film it.
This workshop allows you to:
-
Implement a creative approach through a playful process;
-
Reflect on the use of smartphones, and more broadly on the body's relationship to technologies;
-
Raise awareness of the issues and functioning of artificial intelligence: at a time when AI is developing at high speed, we explain to young people how AI works through the program developed by our engineers to automatically divert the bodies of dancers.

MASTERCLASS
"DANCE & AUGMENTED REALITY / MIXED"
A dialogue between Natacha Paquignon, Maxime Touroute, Selim Tigrine and the public makes it possible to address the different issues of choreographic, visual and sound creation in augmented reality, which is based on the establishment of an ecosystem composed of structures and people with varied skills.
Choreographer Natacha Paquignon presents the artistic and conceptual issues of her search for relational writing, and a new immersive mode of diffusion that offers each spectator an intimate relationship between him or her, and the work.
Visual arts engineer Maxime Touroute presents the principle of augmented reality, the technological challenges of developing a mobile augmented reality application and a workflow based on artificial intelligence to automatically detour bodies.
Videographer Selim Tigrine presents the challenges of video creation for augmented reality.
