SEBASTIAN CUIZA GALAN
Dancer
Rocked by Bolivian culture, Sebastian takes his first dance steps with urban folk collectives. After twelve years of piano at the conservatory, he deepened his music education at the Sorbonne and simultaneously introduced himself to dance in various Parisian schools. Motivated by companies such as Eastman, Hofesh Shechter, Ultima Vez or Stomp, he sharpens his technique and sensitivity with their members and multiplies practises that mix art and performance such as Capoeira, acrobatic circus or body percussion.
Often noticed for his improvisations and solicited for his multidisciplinary profile, Sébastian plays in various productions such as "The Legend of King Arthur" by Giuliano Peparini, "The Bolero" in the Opus Ballet company, "Fiera Fissa" in the Tango Sumo Company, or more recently in "The Lion King" at Disneyland Paris
Later, he arranged the main compositions of the Bolivian musical group Pukawara. This return to the roots leads him to find a musical signature that he will continue to nurture and put at the service of many projects ranging from short films to live shows, thus developing an ability to set image and movement to music.
Following these years of double curriculum and then stage experiences, he created the Cie Jamuni, a playground where he composed rhythmic and atmospheric musical scores to complete the hybrid physicality of his choreographies. His first show "Khori Puka", sponsored by Unesco and Andes Diffusion is played at the MPAA in 2013. Also freelance in this field, he received his first creative orders in 2018 in Italy.
