Proximité(s) is an artistic creation project with a group of performers mixing able-bodied adults with mental disabilities, amateurs and professionals. It relies on dance and plastic and sound objects (Doudous), and implements a participatory creation process.
Proximité(s) implements a participatory creation process that is based on objects, the "Doudous", whose vibratory and tactile character allows sound to be felt through the skin and by bone conduction. The audio-touch cuddly toys are created from the silhouettes of people with disabilities. It then takes its place as a relational object: it is shared between all the dancers, and allows dancers with a disability to come into contact with valid dancers. It also makes it possible to create various scenographic situations conducive to the game and to broadcast sound, musical or verbal content. The Doudous become dance partners, scenographic elements and sources of sound diffusion allowing in particular to structure the space.
Choreographic research goes in the direction of an exploration that allows dancers to deploy their own dance in all its dimensions, motor, spatial, temporal, relational,...
The audio-touch is based on objects equipped with technologies to circulate tactile and sound stimulation on the surface of the body. Each Doudou broadcasts its own music, thus creating a spatialized multi-diffusion system. The sound exploration will go through the voice, rhythmic and sound research from the bodies, the stories of each one, instrumental sounds and M.A.O. tools.
Proximity(s) speaks of body, touch, relationship, border, intimacy. The notions of borders and interstices are at the heart of the creative process. Borders to cross, gaps to fill.
The form is born from the encounter between dance and the plastic and sound arts, between individuals in motion, from their relationship to space, to other bodies, to objects, to oneself.
Creation with the group Vertoï
Proximité(s) develops with a mixed audience composed of adults with mental or psychic disabilities hosted by the APAJH Le Pré Vert Home, able-bodied adults and professional artists.
Creation with SEES Champagnat
Proximité(s) develops with two groups of children aged 4 to 8 years schooled at SEES Roland Champagnat, a specialised institution that welcomes hearing-impaired children with associated disorders.
Proximité(s) : the film !
Director Marie Monier followed the creation process of this project between January 2018 and July 2019.
From his gaze was born the film Proximité(s).
